"C’était un rendez-vous" came immediately to mind when I saw a Will Dixon post that included the title clip from Gérard Pirès' "Taxi." I remember seeing rendez-vous a number of years ago and marveling at how completely nuts it was. It still is.

I shot a pilot in Paris last summer. On our last night the DOP and I slung HD cameras out either side of a taxi and shot virtually the same sequence at night -- with just a tad more respect for the speed limit. I don't know who had more fun, us or the driver, and the footage was spectacular.
I'm jealous, Jim. Anything that contains Paris, summer, night and speed limit ought really to be shared, don't you think? Next time, think of your old pal, um...me.
I'll dub you a copy you can tuck up on the dash of the Volvo until we get there.
